Carlsberg, the famous brewery giant is envisaging on outsourcing more than nine hundred jobs to across the United Kingdom. The organization plans to outsource its supply chain operations to DHL Tradeteam. This change in strategy will affect employees at the warehouse at Stonecross in Warrington, however, managers of the company reinforced that it is too early to predict the outcome. Carlsberg has decided to outsource its entire secondary logistics to a specialist logistic provider following a strategic review of its entire supply chain process.

According to Carlsberg UK’s CEO, Julian Momen, the company understands the considerable effect that this shift in strategy will have on its employees and therefore would like to focus on fending and securing every afflicted employee with the aid they require. Carlsberg presently employees about 1800 employees out of which 900 of them are involved in the logistics department.

Carlsberg has a wide presence in the UK beer market with its brands like Carlsberg, Carlsberg Export, Tuborg, Grimbergen and much more. Apart from delivering its own products, it also has entered into a deal with various pub chains like JD Wetherspoon and Punch Taverns.
