The Australian Public Service (APS) is soliciting the idea of offshoring some of its work to Asia, especially India. The industry news site, iT news further reported that the Australian Public Service (APS) will outsource some of its key projects to India in 2016.

APS’s idea to offsource some of its works to other countries has thrived for years. The Australian Tax Office (ATO) also has debated with the idea to take some of its work to the Philippines. The Health Department has outsourced a part of its work to India for several years. According to a report from the Industry news site, iT news, some other federal agencies are also willing to jump into the bandwagon and share some of their work with other countries.

The NSW government had taken a decision in 2014 to outsource services given by ServiceFirst (a company providing human resources to all the government departments in NSW).Following the footsteps of the NSW government, the Finance Department announced that it also plans to renew its agenda of ‘shared services’.
