This is what D2E has been saying since beginning of this year. In D2E’ opinion, the industry is moving more towards specialty players (i.e. if customer wants a CRM solution he will go to a specialist CRM vendor; if the customer wants an Analytics solution he will go to a specialist Analytics vendor and so on) rather than large vendors trying to provide everything within their company, which may still be a cheaper option but no longer attractive to the customers. In D2E’ opinion, the transition will be similar to the transition that took place from Mainframe computing to distributed computing.
