President Donald Trump is set to meet the Harley-Davidson executives on Thursday to talk about US job creation. Harley-Davidson recently came into criticism because of the company’s decision to outsource their IT jobs to the large offshore outsourcing firm Infosys.
Harley-Davidson is an age-old American brand and their motorcycles are part of their cultural DNA. The company has globalized their IT operations and in the year 2012, they entered into a long-term partnership with Infosys.
During and after the election, President Donald Trump has been criticizing the use of visa workers by large offshore outsourcing firms, but Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer didn’t mention anything about the outsourcing while discussing the meeting with Harley-Davidson executives.
The outsourcing deal between Harley-Davidson and Infosys is a $200 million five-year agreement.
