Perrigo Co. to enter non-mass Retail Personal care Market

Perrigo Co PLC plans a takeover of Geiss, Destin & Dunn (GDD), an over- the- counter healthcare and consumer goods products to nonchain retail and institutional markets.

According to, Perrigo Chief Executive Officer John T. Hendrickson the acquisition would strengthen and diversifies Perrigo’s market reach by tapping the non-mass retail market.

GDD has a sales presence in all 50 states of the United States and markets more than 1500 OTC personal care items. Its portfolio includes a line of diabetic care products that includes Monoject, Kendall, Dex4, Clickfine, Monoket and Kendall T.E.D brands.  It also sells such pet health products as Swisspers, Germ-X, Arm & Hammer, Packers and Swan brand products.

Perrigo Co. is a global OTC consumer goods and pharmaceuticals major which sell under labels of retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Osco, and Walgreen. It is also one of the top global providers of generic prescription Products Company.

Perrigo Co. is headquartered is in Dublin, Ireland, but has a large operational center in Allegan County.
