Bill Pascrell had introduced an H-1B reform bill when he realized that this legislation was not one of the key agendas in the Democratic platform. The upcoming US Presidential Election witnessed the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, make a big hue and cry about visa reforms and have also included this agenda in his platform. On the other hand, the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton has not once mentioned or has talked about the H-1B reforms.

Pascrell held a press conference to bring attention to the visa reforms .According to him, the visa reforms are required urgently as America is generating highly skilled professionals with proper technological knowledge but without any job. The President of IEEE-USA, Peter Eckstein, who represents technological professionals in the US supported Pascrell and highlighted the facts that no political figure in the US can ignore the fact that H-1B visa is eating away American jobs.

The bill introduced by Pascrell is co-sponsored by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) .The bill outlines a number of changes which includes recruiting US workers before bringing in foreign workers.
