Microsoft Team to Compete Against Slack

Microsoft is prepared to make an entry into the modern workplace chat app market within a week. Since the service was announced last year, the tech giant on Tuesday announced that they will be discussing about the service over a webcast.

Microsoft’s Team will be competing against popular group chat apps like Slack and HipChat. The Office 365 customers will now be able to enjoy with a shared workspaces where they can discuss and collaborate on notes, documents, spreadsheets, and more at the same place.

One of the advantage that Microsoft currently has over their rivals is that their latest product will be included in Office 365 which means customers is not required to pay an added fee for the group chat to be available. Although it’s early days for Microsoft’s group chat app but it is now remains to be seen how well Microsoft Team will perform in the market after launch with some of their missing features in comparison to Slack and other competitors.
