There was a noticeable increase in spending on IT and business process outsourcing in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa during the very first quarter of 2016 because of the restructuring of deals.

According to Information Service Group (ISG), trading in Emea (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) recorded a growth of 19% in the first three months of 2016.The number of deals also registered a rise of about 28% with 91% increase in restructuring contracts. Although work is being increasingly moved to clouds, the rise in IT outsourcing value and volume indicates that this year will have a positive impact across all sectors.

The outsourcing market in the UK recorded a growth of about 10% as both the number of contracts and their value increased simultaneously. Switzerland, Germany, and Austria also witnessed a rise in the number of contracts by 32% despite a fall in the value of contracts. The Nordic region recorded a 200% rise in the number of outsourcing contracts. Thus, the IT outsourcing sector commenced on a positive note in 2016.
