According to Whitehall, HM Revenue and Customs has nearly paid more than double the amount that was due to Concentrix, an outsourcing firm. This report has created an uproar and angered MPs and campaigners who believe HMRC wrongly acted in this particular deal. The angered campaigners also pointed out that it is a sign of total indifference on the part of HMRC and they should be made to answer for their wrong doings.

Concentrix was brought in by HMRC to monitor and curb fraud and error in the entire collection of direct taxes including income tax and corporation tax, environmental tax etc. HMRC is also responsible for to enhance customer’s experience and improve the business environment in the UK.

A spokesman from Concentrix spoke on the charges levied on them that this outsourcing deal was very complex and a number of issues had emerged which resulted in this kind of a problem. They also plan to reinstate all the wrong decisions.
