Hiring of H-1B visa holders is an issue with companies in the USA

The Presidential Elections in the USA have spurred the debate on H-1B visa holders and companies in the US are trying to cope with the entire issue. The Walt Disney Co. was singled out as an example as it had fired about 250 IT workers in 2014 and had inducted a contracting firm to replace the workers.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump is vociferous about ill effects of the H-1B program. According to Mark Rubio and Donald Trump, American workers are losing their jobs to foreigners. On the other hand, the 600,000 jobs which are lying idle because of lack of local skilled workers are never discussed.

The growing dissatisfaction among American workers towards the H-1B visa issue is going to affect India badly as a lot of Indians are employed in the Silicon Valley under this program. Companies hire foreign workers as it helps them to expand. American companies would not be able to expand without the visas and in the long run American workers would not have jobs in their hand.
