The Finnish departmental store firm Stockmann was a witness to protest from its workers. The protest which lasted for a half-an-hour was staged at the company’s headquarters in Helsinki on Friday afternoon. The protest was because of the company’s decision to outsource part of its IT services.
Stockmann revealed on Tuesday that it had entered into an agreement with an India –based outsourcing and consulting firm Tech Mahindra. The company also envisaged on shifting some of its workers to Tech Mahindra. The company had retrenched the services of about 300 employees last summer. The protest was made by about hundred employees and an upper management member of the company.
