Xiaomi to float Mi5 Smartphone

Xiaomi, the world’s fourth largest mobile maker, has launched the new Mi 5.It is the fastest growing Chinese hardware company, well-known for its low-cost Smartphone. The Mi is an upgraded version of its older models. The new Mi 5 boasts of features like a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, a physical home button and a body made out of ceramic.

The company intends to launch Mi 5 in the Chinese market on the 1st of March 2016. It is likely to be soon floated in markets like India and other global markets. Apart from a 5.15-inch screen, 3,000 mAh battery, 16MP camera, the phone is made out of a 3D ceramic body. Equipped with a 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the Mi 5 Pro edition is available only in black. Xiaomi joined hands with zirconia ceramic as the material is durable and is scrape proof.

With the launch of the Mi 5, Xiaomi is competing with pioneers like Apple, Samsung and Lenovo and is on its way to becoming one of the top Smartphone’s brands in China.
