Range of New Technologies to Protect Cloud Based Data

Microsoft mentioned that in order to meet the stringent security standards of the US government  launched a new cloud-based data protection technology. Azure Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) will provide consistent backup to government customers. This technology requires zero maintenance and the dependable Azure Backup cellar can recover data stored in the virtual machines just by a single click.

Microsoft has also started the Azure Backup Server empowering its customers by supporting the various environments which include SQL Server, SharePoint Server and Windows client. In addition, it has also launched an Azure Site Recovery which is a cloud-based data recovery tool and is available in Azure Government Cloud. A new Azure VM tier for all US government agencies has also been launched by Microsoft.

To bolster further support to the US government agencies, a new range of virtual machines has been brought in by Microsoft. The D- series VMs are supported by an 800 GB solid –state drive (SSD) storage and an enhanced processing speed.
