A DGX – 1 deep learning supercomputer powered by next generation GPU accelerators has been unveiled by Nvidia. This has been specially designed to analyze big data sets at one go and also to utilize the power of AI (artificial intelligence) technology. The system is a complete package consisting of deep learning software along with a set of well-known deep learning frameworks that include Theano and Torch. It also provides easy access to software updates and cloud management tools.
The launch of Nvidia’s DGX-1 is aptly timed as organizations are gradually investing in deep learning software as the market for big data continue to grow. The company has slated the release of DGX-1 in the US market in June this year. It is the first system to be manufactured by the company’s Pascal-powered Tesla P100 accelerators which are interconnected with the Nvidia NVLink.
