Outsourcing is a blessing for Nigeria

There is a perception in different parts of the world that outsourcing of work results in loss of jobs in the market, but latest report from iSON BPO states that outsourcing rather creates job opportunities and adds up to $300 million to the Nigerian economy yearly.

During a tour of iSON BPO’s ultra-modern call centre facility in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Mrs. Opemipo Alebiosu, Chief Marketing Officer stated that outsourcing is not a curse, but instead a blessing to Nigeria. According to her, there are over 3000 employees that iSON has, out of which over 99% are Nigerians. The company also transfers technologies developed by them to other economies to Nigeria. A lot of Nigerian youths are also trained to expertise in those technologies.
