For successive three years, Optum360 is named the leading vendor for HIM (Health Information Management) Outsourcing solutions and CAC (Computer Assisted Coding) across all Hospital Chains, Corporations, Systems, and Integrated Delivery Networks by the Black Book Research.

Black Book surveys different healthcare executives and front-line users and also carries out polls about their current technology and services partners and subsequently awards the vendors who perform the best.

According to the sweeping Black Book research, almost 72% of the hospital respondents are outsourcing their coding requirements this year.

Outsourcing of the Health Information Management solutions has increased over the years as more and more hospitals are getting aware of the benefits and potential costs savings through outsourcing.

“CAC outsourcing is being seen as the panacea for regaining lost coding productivity and improving hospital financial operations,” said Scott Wilson, Partner over Black Book’s outsourcing and managed services research divisions.

“Offshore business process outsourcing (BPO) companies have diligently tightened policies and operations to response to HIM concerns, including advanced cybersecurity efforts, stronger service level agreements, and multiple layers of quality checks.”, said Wilson.  “All these efforts are collectively ameliorating offshore clinical coding services and improving hospital satisfaction.”
