“Jack and Jill went up the hill…..Jill came back, but Jack is nowhere to be found”
Apple has done away with the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack in the newly launched iPhone7 and iPhone7 Plus. Apple has decided to go wireless and has taken steps towards it. The new iPhone7 is armed with an Ear Pod headphone the plugs into the Lightning port of the device. It is the same port used for charging. According to Apple, this move was necessary to make the iPhone 7 water- resistant and to upgrade its speaker system. Apple’s wireless headphones will be popularly known as the Air Pods. They are made up of a chip named W1.
The Air Pods do not have a button. A user needs to just tap on the side of the earphones twice and that is enough to trigger Siri. A built –in mic allows the user to talk to Siri or place a phone call. The Air Pods will come with five hours of continuous music playback on a single charge. They will be accompanied by a charging case that will offer up to 24 hours of battery life. The wireless Air Pods will be sold at a price of $159 when they will be made available in the late October.
