Apple and SAP aims to develop Corporate Apps

Apple enters into partnership with SAP to develop a market for iOS applications based on the SAP HANA cloud platform. This allegiance portrays the desire of many organizations to convert complex processes into simple mobile applications.

SAP envisages on developing about hundred applications, some especially for industries specific to health care and retail. According to SAP systems, developers can further utilize the software kit to generate applications of their own. This new software integrates Apple’s Swift which is an open source programming language. Apple Swift was initially designed to develop software for iPhones, iPads and other Apple devices.

All the applications will be made available at Apple APP store. This partnership with Apple will help SAP acquire new customers and will also augment the overall experience for SAP users. According to Steve Lucas of SAP systems, Copilot, an application designed for different line of businesses will be more popular.
